Become a volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to help your community. AHN hospitals rely on volunteers like you to provide a more remarkable experience for our patients.* 

COVID-19 restrictions

Through the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our volunteer programs have been limited on-site, while others have transitioned to — or were created for — virtual delivery. Positions will vary as we transition out of the pandemic.

All team members including AHN volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.  Proof of vaccine documentation will be required.  Religious or medical accommodations will be considered.  Full vaccination is the first and second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.

Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers at AHN take on a number of roles that let them use their talents and abilities to improve the experiences of patients, visitors, and staff. We can help you find a role where you’ll have the greatest impact.

Where can I volunteer?

Allegheny Health Network accepts volunteers in hospitals and other facilities throughout our network in western Pennsylvania and in Erie. 

In-kind donations

AHN Volunteer Resources accepts in-kind donations of items for our patients and programs. We are grateful and appreciative of all donations.
