AHN Saint Vincent Celebrates Cancer Survivorship with Special Event at Asbury Woods
To honor and celebrate patients who have fought or are fighting a cancer diagnosis, the AHN Cancer Institute (AHNCI) at Saint Vincent Hospital will host a Survivorship Celebration Day event on Sunday, June 23, from noon to 4 p.m. at Asbury Woods.
The event, created for patients of AHNCI, includes music, food trucks, lunch, basket raffles and activities at Asbury Woods Nature Center. It will include AHN cancer survivors, their families and guests, and their caregiving teams from AHNCI.
“We are so happy to recognize and celebrate the strength and determination of our patients, as well as the exceptional clinicians and other AHN Cancer Institute staff who have taken such good care of them, by hosting this special day celebrating cancer survivorship, ,” said Pritam Tayshetye, MD, medical oncologist.
Lunch will be provided to each AHN cancer patient who registers, plus one guest. Additional guests are welcome to attend and can purchase their lunch at food trucks that will be on the grounds.
Registration open to all patients who have had a cancer diagnosis or are currently undergoing treatment for any cancer stage. Those interested can register at AHNCIEventCommittee@AHN.org.
