If your budget makes it difficult for you to make healthy food choices, we can help. Our services are free with a referral from your doctor.
The AHN Healthy Food Centers provide free, nutritious food options and education in the greater Pittsburgh and Erie communities for people struggling with food insecurity. We work with the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and Second Harvest Food Bank to provide you and your family with nutritious food choices at five community locations.
We created the Healthy Food Centers to make sure everyone can access healthy foods and nutrition counseling to manage their overall health, no matter their income or budget. Our goal is to help more families adopt sustainable healthy eating habits that fit their lifestyle without worrying about cost.
We’ll teach you how to shop for healthy foods on a budget, cook with more fruits and vegetables, make healthy recipes that your family will love, and use nutrition to help manage your health. We also offer free, one-on-one nutrition counseling, and can connect you to other social services that you may need like assistance with housing, utilities, and transportation.
