Program at a glance

  • Six residents per year, with all rotations at West Penn Hospital
  • More than 4,200 deliveries annually
  • About 6,000 gynecologic surgical procedures each year
  • Approximately 10,000 ultrasound scans yearly
  • More than 600 regional maternal transfers
  • High volume Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecology services, with Gynecologic Surgery rotations starting in PGY-1
  • Robust Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division with Reproductive Geneticist, 3D/4D ultrasound and advanced antenatal testing
  • Ryan Foundation Grant and Family Planning Division offer complex family planning services and dedicated opt-out rotations
  • Unique programs including Perinatal Hope, the Alexis Joy D'Achille Center for Perinatal Mental Health, Center for Inclusion Health and Reproductive Infectious Disease
  • Mid-level provider support on each inpatient service
  • Resident Outpatient Clinic for weekly continuity clinic in all postgraduate years
  • Clinical training site for Drexel University College of Medicine with students on service year round
