UroLift System

Some patients suffering from benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) may be ideal candidates for the UroLift® System, which uses tiny implants to hold prostate tissue away from the urethra and aid urine flow.

Ideal candidates for UroLift

Some patients may experience symptoms from BPH despite having a relatively small- to moderate-sized prostate gland. Others may experience side effects from BPH medication. UroLift is ideal for these situations.

How UroLift works

The procedure is usually performed in your physician’s office with a local anesthesia. Your doctor will insert the UroLift device through the urethra. The tiny implants then hold the prostate lobes apart to reduce pressure on the urethra. Most patients head home the same day without a catheter and experience symptom relief in about 2 to 4 weeks.

Why choose UroLift at AHN?

AHN’s expert urologists are skilled and experienced at using the UroLift system. And because there’s no cutting, use of heat, or removal of prostate tissue, it’s an
ideal alternative to surgery or prolonged use of medication.
